Micah Herman

Training: University of Maryland, College Park B.S. Psychology; University at Albany, Ph.D. Counseling Psychology (anticipated)

Micah is currently in her fourth year of training toward a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany. She is experienced in working collaboratively and compassionately with individuals who are struggling with anxiety and OCD, grief, identity and relationship concerns, and depression.  Before joining the team at Mindwell, Micah provided therapy services at both the University at Albany's Psychological Services Center and the Counseling and Psychological Services Center.

Micah firmly believes that therapy should be a space where clients feel heard and understood. She helps clients explore the roots of their challenges, empowering them to gain insight into unconscious patterns and make meaningful changes. Embracing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she employs techniques that foster mindfulness and reshape one's relationship with their difficult thoughts and emotions. Micah's ultimate goal is to support her clients in deepening their connection with themselves and others, paving the way for greater fulfillment and overall well-being.
