Isabella Cicconi - LCSW

Training: University of Binghamton (Master of Social Work), Mansfield University (Bachelor of Social Work) 

Isabella (she/her) received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Binghamton University’s College of Community and Public Affairs. Her professional interests center on working with children, adolescents, families, young adults, and parents/caregivers to build resiliency, safety, and a sense of peace within themselves and their families. Isabella specializes in a wide range of trauma experiences, with a particular focus on domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, parental alienation, and generational trauma.

Isabella utilizes a combination of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy. She integrates a trauma-informed approach tailoring treatment to individual needs. Isabella is passionate about helping her clients process their trauma, build emotional regulation skills, and foster empowerment and emotional safety, while improving interpersonal relationships.

In addition to trauma-focused therapy, Isabella enjoys parenting/caregiver education and facilitating family therapy sessions to help support clients in putting their newly developed skills into practice. 

Before joining MindWell, Isabella worked in community mental health, the child protective services field, and at an outpatient psychiatric center program, gaining invaluable experience supporting individuals and families in a variety of settings.

In her spare time, Isabella enjoys going to concerts, spending time with her two dogs, and cheering on the New York Yankees, Baltimore Ravens, and Detroit Red Wings.
