Dr. Anthony Rinaldi (he/him) is a licensed psychologist who has expertise in clinical psychopharmacology, general health psychology, and oncology and palliative care psychology. He has practiced across a range of clinical settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, outpatient medical clinics, an inpatient behavioral health unit, a consultation/liaison hospital service, and telemedicine. He practices evidence-based treatments with adult clients. His clinical interests include integrating pharmacotherapy into psychotherapy and working with clients diagnosed with acute and chronic medical illnesses. His clinical interests also include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, and life transitions.
Dr. Rinaldi infuses evidence-based treatment, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), with existential and humanistic approaches to psychotherapy. He aims to help clients not only manage their mental health concerns but also increase the quality of their lives through identifying and pursuing their values.
Dr. Rinaldi holds a conditional license as a prescribing psychologist in New Mexico, and he is a strong advocate of the prescriptive authority for psychologists (RxP) movement. He is a published author around his research interests, which include suicide and the RxP movement. When not working, you may find Dr. Rinaldi volunteering at his local public library, reading comic books, playing videogames, and spending quality time with his spouse and cat.
